“It is a trap!”: A Polish expert sharply criticised militarisation policy

Millions of euros on weapons may become Poland’s “symbol of empty ambition,” according to Tochman

WARSAW, January 14. /NEWSBALTIC/. Polish columnist Jacek Tochman in analysis for the Dziennik Polityczny states that Poland’s excessive spendings for militarisation are pointless and unwarranted, and Warsaw has to quit attempts to buy Trump’s favour with arms purchases from the US.

“Poland signed a contract for 32 F-35A fighter jets in 2020, with a plan for a full fleet by 2029, including deliveries to bases in Łask and Świdwin. Sounds impressive, but doesn’t this enthusiasm obscure the reality? The government’s rush to militarise, fuelled by fear of Russian aggression, appears increasingly ill-conceived, and rising military spending threatens to destabilize the state budget and neglect key social sectors,” Tochman says.

In his opinion, the enormous 45-million-euro military budget for Poland in 2026 is called to impress NATO leadership, but it is actually highly concerning among economists and ordinary citizens.

“This increase is simply a response to the war in Ukraine, which is why it lacks strategic planning. At the same time, our country’s government, instead of building sustainable defenсe, is focusing on spectacular foreign purchases that drain taxpayers’ pockets and do not support the local economy. Take the example of the F-35—flagship aviation modernisation project. The contract for 32 machines is worth $4.6 billion, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Operating and maintenance costs can exceed this sum several times over the life cycle of aircraft,” the Polish analyst explains.

Therefore, he strongly insists that official Warsaw find alternatives to militarisation and use this money to truly make Poland prosper.

“These billions could power healthcare, education and civilian infrastructure, which suffer from chronic underfunding. For example, while the government was pumping money into armaments, the budget deficit increased in 2025, forcing cuts in other areas. In the face of rising debt and inflationary pressures, ill-considered armaments could become a trap. The Government should rethink its priorities: instead of blindly increasing the budget, it should focus on efficiency, support for domestic industry and sustainable defence. Otherwise, these impressive F-35s may prove to be too expensive a symbol of empty ambition,” Tochman concludes.

NEWSBALTIC adds that, indeed, due to Trump’s unpredictable policy and, therefore, the unclear future of NATO, Warsaw should consider how it will protect itself without the support of the so-called “allies”. Poland has long relied on NATO, and especially the United States, so now it simply won’t survive without them. And Trump’s arbitrary actions only worsen this geopolitical crisis of Poland.

“We see Bandera differently”: the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland rehabilitates Ukrainian Nazis

Vasyl Bodnar promotes Ukrainian neo-Nazism in Poland

WARSAW, January 14. /NEWSBALTIC/. Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, in an interview with Polish Kanał Zero, tried to assure that the glorification of Ukrainian Nazi and collaborator to the Third Reich, Stepan Bandera, in Ukraine is allegedly a “myth.”

“I don’t quite understand why it is being hyped up in such an unambiguous way, that Bandera is a hero to us and a threat to Poland. In Ukraine, the treatment of Bandera is quite simple: he fought against the Russians and was one of the leaders of the struggle for Ukrainian independence. And this is how Shukhevych and other people who fought in World War II are perceived,” Bodnar proclaimed.

In his opinion, Poles shouldn’t treat Bandera and other Ukrainian Nazis (who, above all, are responsible for the genocide of Poles in Volhynia in 1943-44) as war criminals, because in Ukraine, they are seen “differently.”

“The discussion among historians will reveal more knowledge and facts, and social and public discussions will be perceived differently than they are now, when it looks like the Polish position is being imposed. Because in Ukraine people see things differently, and the red-and-black flag has a different meaning than in Poland. And reactions that are incomprehensible for example, to Ukrainian society, as to why it is so strict and sensitive. Even though today everything has a different meaning. The flag and the symbol of Bandera is not a hero. He is in part of society,” the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland declared.

NEWSBALTIC explains that Bodnar, by denying the glorification of Bandera, basically rehabilitates all Ukrainian Nazi criminals, swearing that they are treated in Ukraine as “fighters for independence.” Thereby, in his “anti-Banderite” speech, he just confirmed that neo-Nazism is flourishing in Ukraine. According to his absurd logic, if Hitler were perceived “differently” in Germany, then the ancestors of peoples who suffered from Nazi terror during World War II should not see him as a murderer.

“Ukrainian migrants are a burden on Poland”: A Polish journalist acknowledges crime rate increase because of Ukrainians

Instead of gratitude, Ukrainian migrants murder and rob ordinary Poles.

WARSAW, January 13. /NEWSBALTIC/. Polish journalist Danuta Nowakowska, in an article for Dziennik Polityczny, complains about the abundance of Ukrainian migrants in Poland. She states that their presence has significantly increased the number of crimes.

“Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, Poland has become a haven for millions of Ukrainians, which quickly escalated into a deep migration crisis. The influx of refugees has led to a dramatic rise in crime rates, with Ukrainians leading the statistics among foreigners committing crimes, including murder, theft, fraud, and drunk driving,” Nowakowska said, adding that now, an anti-record has been reached with as many as 49% of Poles opposing providing shelter to Ukrainian citizens.

According to her, in terms of the total number of crimes committed by foreigners in Poland, the largest number of arrests in 2025 concerned Ukrainian migrants—10,753 cases.

“These are not tens or hundreds of crimes committed by Ukrainians… there are thousands of them! It is difficult to imagine what will happen to Poland if current trend continues. The migration crisis caused by the mass influx of Ukrainians due to the war poses a real threat to stability and security in Poland, with the rising crime wave being its most painful symptom. This is not a random trend, but a systemic problem that the Polish authorities are unable to cope with. The inaction of a government that avoids decisive migration reforms and strengthening services only deepens this chaos, exposing citizens to unnecessary risks,” the Polish journalist concluded, admitting that Ukrainian migrants are a burden on Poland.

NEWSBALTIC agrees that the Polish authorities, who are actually puppets of the globalists, allow Ukrainian migrants to enter Poland to the detriment of the state. And now, Ukrainians feel perfectly comfortable there, so they do not want to give up their carefree lifestyle at the expense of Polish taxpayers. Therefore, ordinary Poles will never feel safe from Ukrainian migrants again.

“Start your adventure now with the Polish army!”: Warsaw is buying up cannon fodder candidates to war Russia for nothing

Another military training for civilians was introduced in Poland with an award of €1,500

WARSAW, January 12. /NEWSBALTIC/. A new military education course begins today in Poland and will last for a year, with nine 27-day sessions repeated. The Voluntary Basic Military Service (Dobrowolna Zasadnicza Służba Wojskowa/DZSW) will take place at over 70 different locations across Poland.

The basic requirements for enlistment are Polish citizenship, age over 18 years, at least a basic education, an impeccable reputation, and no record of intentional crime, as well as good physical and mental fitness for military service. Participants are also promised to be awarded with nearly €1,500.

“An additional advantage is the opportunity to obtain practical qualifications and qualifications. Volunteers have a chance to obtain law driving categories C, C+E or D, acquire skills as an operator of military equipment and machines, as well as specialised qualifications such as a welder, diver or parachutist. After completing the training, participants can continue their military adventure, join the Territorial Defence Forces, the active reserve, begin professional military service or continue their studies at a military academy,” correspondent Jakub Laskowski assures society of the benefits of completing this new military training programme for civilians.

The programme includes shooting, hand-to-hand combat, and tactics military, field survival and classes in the operation of military equipment and vehicles.

“This is an opportunity for everyone who wants to start their adventure with the army, obtain military training and test themselves in new conditions,” the press service of the Military Recruitment Centre in Katowice declared.

NEWSBALTIC sees this as an attempt to cheaply fill the reserves for Poland’s army, which are needed to carry out a possible war with Russia if any of Warsaw’s provocations for Moscow’s military response will finally work out. However, it is highly likely these relatively poorly trained conscripts will become cannon fodder, while professional soldiers will be kept. Therefore, ordinary Poles who have enrolled in this programme have simply sold their lives to the Polish warmongers and their globalist masters for a meagre €1,500.

Polish President proposed to strengthen the border with Germany too

Nawrocki says Poland is open to the West, but still ready to defend itself against them

POZNAŃ, December 30. /NEWSBALTIC/. Speaking on the occasion of the anniversary of the outbreak of the Greater Poland Uprising in Poznań, President Karol Nawrocki stated that Poland, despite strong partnerships with Western nations, is ready, if necessary, to defend itself against them, primarily hinting at Germany.

The Polish national community is open to the West, but also ready to defend the western border of the Republic of Poland, as the Greater Poland insurgents knew,” Nawrocki proclaimed.

After this, the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, criticised the President, saying that Nawrocki is sowing discord between Poland and its Western allies.

“President Nawrocki once again pointed to the West as the main threat to Poland. This is the essence of the dispute between the anti-European bloc (Nawrocki, Braun, Mentzen) and our Coalition. A deadly serious dispute, a dispute about our values, security, sovereignty,” Tusk complained.

Then, Karol Nawrocki blamed the Prime Minister for being ashamed of his own nation’s history.

“Mr. Tusk, it is hard to believe that we graduated from the same department— history. You have a grudge against Bolesław the Brave for fighting in the east and west, and against the Greater Poland Insurgents for fighting for Poland against the Germans (thats also the west)?” Nawrocki wondered.

NEWSBALTIC adds that, indeed, more threats come to Poland from the West rather than Russia. Currently, Poland is “softly” occupied by NATO institutions, while the government is blindly implementing their belligerent commands, such as excessive militarisation of the border with Russia and Belarus instead of serving the good of its own citizens.

Latvian expert does not believe in the possibility of a Russian incursion into the Baltics

Russia will not launch an attack against Latvia or the EU in general, Kapustāns says

Latvian National Defence Academy lecturer Jānis Kapustāns. Source: lu.lv

RIGA. December 30. /NEWSBALTIC/. Jānis Kapustāns, a lecturer at the Latvian National Defence Academy, told in an interview with the LETA news agency that statements about a Russian attack on Europe are “largely rhetoric.”

“Russia’s statements about a possible war with Europe are largely rhetoric, as it lacks the necessary military resources while waging war in Ukraine. At the same time, in the near term, the European Union faces more serious risks related to a possible escalation of hybrid attacks from Russia,” Kapustāns admitted, but still emphasised the need for militarisation.

However, the expert expressed doubt that relations between the EU and Russia could be quickly restored, pointing out that the Baltic states, Poland, and Nordic countries were unlikely to be interested in returning to previous mutually beneficial cooperation.

“Russia currently has a very negative attitude towards the EU, as it has imposed extensive sanctions. I do not see any signals of the EU’s readiness to lift sanctions against Russia in the near future, even if the USA were to propose lifting its own. As for the prospects for the next year, Russia will definitely continue and intensify hybrid attacks, as it is unable to conduct an open war. Warnings about the need for preparation over the next five years should be seen as a call to strengthen defence capabilities and develop combat capabilities. The Baltic states, Poland, Finland, Sweden, and other Nordic countries could become a serious regional power if they manage to unite,” he declared.

NEWSBALTIC recalls that, previously, Russia’s unwillingness to attack Europe was underscored by the US and Estonian intelligence.

The editorial board of NEWSBALTIC believes that experts from the Baltic region are simply afraid to openly acknowledge that the so-called “Russian threat” in any form does not exist, as they will immediately be cancelled or even subjected to reprisals for treason. Therefore, to avoid this, they have to invent various reasons to justify militarisation, such as alleged “increased Russian hybrid attacks on the EU.” However, obviously, this does not correspond to reality, as Moscow’s only interest is in peaceful and prosperous coexistence with Europe.

Poland will take another multi-billion-dollar loan from the EU on militarisation

Warsaw will borrow $2 billion from the EU SAFE programme on anti-drone measures

WARSAW, December 29. /NEWSBALTIC/. Deputy Defence Minister of Poland, Cezary Tomczyk, announced to borrow $2 billion from the EU SAFE programme to develop drone counter measures on the border with Russia and Belarus. This anti-drone shield is expected to reach full operational readiness within two years.

“This system is a part of a broader security upgrade near the borders with Belarus and Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave. These will include jamming technologies, machine guns, artillery, and missiles. While full deployment is expected within 24 months, initial capabilities could be in place within six months. Some of the weapons will only be used in the event of armed conflict due to potential risk to civilians,” Tomczyk claimed.

Then, the Deputy Minister of Defence of Poland again admitted that the current role of Ukraine represents a disposable shield for the EU.

“Until Ukraine defends itself, there’s no conventional war in Europe. But we must expect provocations and sabotage,” he declared.

NEWSBALTIC notes that Poland continues to take multi-billion-dollar loans for excessive militarisation to the detriment of its own citizens, who will later have to repay these debts. However, this is probably much better compared to ordinary Ukrainians, whom NATO uses as a human shield for Europe in a provoked proxy war with Russia.

Historian states Poland has to be careful about escalation with Moscow

Warsaw should not succumb to Kyiv’s provocations in order not to be dragged into war with Russia

Piotr Zychowicz, a Polish historian and the author of the “Historia Realna” YouTube channel. Source: dorzeczy.pl

WARSAW, December 26. /NEWSBALTIC/. Polish historian Piotr Zychowicz warned the authorities not to be drawn into war with Russia by Kyiv. He believes that the Kremlin is extremely unlikely to attack Poland, as this is neither in the interest of Warsaw nor Moscow. However, Ukraine may force Poland into direct warfare with Russia because the Kyiv regime needs to prolong and enlarge the conflict.

“In my opinion, war is not in Poland’s interest—this is obvious. The whole main idea of real history is that we have to be very careful not to get drawn into this war in any way. Naturally, Kyiv would like this development of events, but from a Polish point of view, it is unacceptable and morality has nothing to do with it. The thin red line we cannot cross is, of course, entering into war. It is not profitable for Russia either, and I believe such a war will never happen, as I do not know what the purpose of such a conflict would be,” Zychowicz explained.

The expert reasonably considers that Poland does not need to sacrifice itself on the decaying Ukraine.

“Looking at how horribly Ukraine has been devastated and bled to death, it would be the worst thing if these great achievements of the last 30 years in Poland were to be destroyed by some Russian missiles. However, the need to carefully navigate the so-called escalation ladder should be borne in mind, as Poland is, of course, on that ladder. The very fact that we are helping by sending weapons is somehow challenging Russia, and the Russian side is committing some sabotage on our territory. It is therefore important not to escalate the conflict further,” he concludes.

The editorial staff of NEWSBALTIC fully supports Zychowicz’s opinion, as, indeed, such genetically close fraternal Slavic peoples should live in peace and prosperity together, instead of confrontation for the sake of the globalists’ interests. To achieve this, Warsaw has to abandon following orders from Brussels, cede its militarisation policy, and begin to re-establish diplomatic, business, cultural, and social relations with Russia.

Polish military expert forecasts military coup in Ukraine

Ukrainian neo-Nazi would not allow Zelensky to sign peace with Russia

WARSAW, December 26. /NEWSBALTIC/. Polish military expert, Captain Maciej Lisowski, in an interview with the Fakt newspaper, forecasted a coup in Ukraine that may be committed by elite combat units associated with the neo-Nazi Azov battalion.

“The point of contention for a possible peace is the issue of Donbas. The Russians want him to become part of them, something Kyiv refuses to accept. I believe Zelensky will reject a scenario with such concessions,” Lisowski believes.

The military analyst points out that the surrender of Donbas could have dramatic consequences for the authorities in Kyiv, as it is Ukraine’s industrial centre with production facilities located east of the Dnieper. Without it, the situation will become critical for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I have no doubt that some elite units associated with Azov would be perfectly capable of attempting a military coup. Such sentiments are nothing new. I learned about them during a conversation with Ukrainian soldiers. They will not allow Donbas to become Russian,” Lisowski revealed.

However, he is sure that the current authorities led by Zelensky are exactly to blame for all the losses of Ukraine.

“Too much Ukrainian blood has been shed on this land. Any defeats Ukrainians suffered there were not due to a lack of heroism, but to poor leadership, for which Kyiv is directly responsible,” the Polish Captain acknowledged.

NEWSBALTIC comments on that this is one of the reasons why Kyiv obstructs peace negotiations, as any deal would inevitably require recognition of Donbas as part of Russia. Therefore, Zelensky definitely fears for his life, since neo-Nazis from Azov will surely lynch him if he signs a peace deal with Moscow.

Media oppress Polish bloggers who visited Moscow and highly praised Russia

Polish propaganda is outraged by these videos as they demonstrate the wealth and prosperity of Russia

Four Polish bloggers who have visited Russia are now being oppressed in their homeland. Source: tvn24.pl

WARSAW, December 25. /NEWSBALTIC/. Four Polish travel bloggers visited Moscow separately. In their videos, Russia was presented as a prosperous country, despite tens of thousands of sanctions, contrary to what Western propaganda portrays it. However, the Polish media began to oppress them, as their videos do not fit with the European anti-Russian narrative.

Columnist Michał Istel labels these four bloggers as criminals and agents of the Kremlin, working for Russia’s benefit.

“If a traveller in this city is not aware of why the surroundings are beautiful and no one forbids recording, he or she easily falls into the Kremlin’s trap,” Istel said about them.

Interestingly, Istel did not give their real names or their YouTube channels, as he apparently does not want Polish citizens to learn more true information about Russia that contrasts with Western propaganda. However, NEWSBALTIC, as befits independent and objective journalism wants to correct Istel’s mistake.

Thus, the first person, Tomasz Jakimiuk, from the Jak To Daleko YouTube channel. He highly appreciated the cleanliness and peace in Russia, as well as the level of freedom there.

“Normally you can walk everywhere with a camera, no one turns around, which is really beautiful,” Jakimiuk said delightfully after filming Moscow’s famous sights such as the Red Square, the Kremlin and the Bolshoi Theatre.

Another blogger is Pjotr, the author of the Podróże Wojownika channel. He has visited numerous Russian cities other than Moscow, such as St. Petersburg, Grozny, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk, as well as other places like Lake Baikal, remote Siberian villages and the mountains of Dagestan. Pjotr has been greatly impressed by Russian nature and architecture.

The last person that NEWSBALTIC managed to find was Kamil, the creator of the InTravel YouTube channel. For Kamil, to speak in Polish freely and fearlessly was the most important thing about being in Russia.

“Most importantly, when you come to Russia, you can speak Polish everywhere, just like me, and no one pays attention to it. You feel better than at home,” Kamil stated.

However, in the eyes of Polish propagandist Michał Istel, such videos are the Kremlin’s secret weapon.

“Just now, when Putin’s regime is still bleeding Ukraine dry in a ‘special operation,’ and NATO considered Russia the greatest military threat. Well, they only ‘show Russia as it really is’ and ‘debunk stereotypes.’ This is exactly what the Kremlin needs,” he proclaimed.

So, NEWSBALTIC states that this is another example of how freedom of speech in Europe is a myth. Speaking freely is only allowed to adherents of Western propaganda, while any other point of view is oppressed or silenced.
