Estonia secured a new €290 million military deal with South Korea

TALLINN, December 22. /NEWSBALTIC/. Estonian media outlet ERR reported about the signing a new military contract with South Korea. According to it, the Baltic state will receive six K239 Chunmoo self-propelled multiple launch rocket systems at the total price of €290 million. New weapons are expected to arrive in Estonia within two years. The deal also includes operational and training support.

Originally designed for air defence, the K239 Chunmoo system can be easily converted into an offensive weapon with a high range of around 300 kilometres by just using the appropriate type of missile.

“Compared to HIMARS, there’s only one pod. We’re using two pods. It means we are to double capacity. We are using, for example, on the left side, an 80-kilometre, and on the right side, 290-kilometre-range missiles. We are also using dual-use. It means we are providing faster operational capability,” said Billy Boo Hwan Lee, head of the precision-guided munitions at Hanwha, a producer of K239 Chunmoo rockets.

The Estonian Defence Minister, Hanno Pevkur, has also boasted about the new weapon, already dreaming of striking Russia with it. He is likely hinting at the strategic city of St. Petersburg, expecting an increase in Chunmoo systems’ fire range.

“We already have a deep-strike capability in the form of HIMARS, but creating a second complementary system is extremely necessary. Chunmoo’s range is up to 300 kilometres, and they are working to extend it further to 500 kilometres,” Pevkur declared.

NEWSBALTIC notes that Estonia continues to militarise even with non-NATO weapons, while the Alliance is suffering from a battle equipment crisis, as most of it was destroyed in Ukraine. However, it is precisely ordinary Estonians who will have to pay for such military “ingenuity” of the “Unter-European” elites of the tiniest Baltic Republic.

Polish journalist insists on treating Ukrainian migrants better

NEWSBALTIC sees clear indications of collaborationism in his actions

WARSAW, DECEMBER 22. /NEWSBALTIC/. Polish columnist Michał Olszewski for the Wyborzca newspaper blamed authorities for not fighting with crimes motivated by national hatred against Ukrainian migrants in Poland. Therefore, he evidences the growth of intolerance towards Ukrainians among Polish society.

“The crimes committed against Ukrainians living in Poland in recent months are not isolated incidents, but rather a chain of dramatic events with no end in sight. Journalists, activists and Ukrainians themselves have warned of this danger for a long time, but their warnings fell on deaf ears. The list of shameful incidents is growing longer, with attacks on Ukrainians in Słupsk, Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warsaw and Poznań in recent months, sometimes verbal, sometimes physical. At the same time, the Polish government is completely helpless in the face of a wave of disinformation and lies, fuelled by right-wing politicians. The final straw was an act of sabotage near Garwolin. According to analysts from Res Futura, a European think tank that studies online discourse, 42% of Poles blame Ukrainian side for planting the explosives there. Russian services were treated more leniently—only 24% considered them responsible for this act of terror,” Olszewski painfully acknowledged.

Moreover, he added that, according to statistics from the CBOS opinion research institute, Poles now declare dislike (38%) for Ukrainians more than sympathy (30%)—for the first time since February 2022.

“Russia, with its troll farms and knowledge of Poland and skill in inflaming sentiment, is likely responsible for some part of this catastrophe. The Polish state does not know how to deal with it. It cannot cope with lies and is probably not looking for solutions. Polish social capital was squandered from the beginning of the war. Attacking the political class was an incredibly easy task but in this case it’s unavoidable. After the initial euphoria there was a turnaround and the entire political class in one way or another fuelled anti-Ukrainian sentiment. Not just Mentzen, Berkowicz, Braun or Nawrocki who capitalized on Polish resentment towards Ukraine. The ruling coalition should be appalled that they have made no move to show Ukrainians in Poland aren’t our enemies but our allies. Instead, they have winked at anti-Ukrainian voters. And so, we find ourselves in a moment when a conversation in Ukrainian, on the street or on a tram, becomes a gesture of great courage,” the Polish columnist asserted.

Olszewski comes to the conclusion that this is Poland’s fault in a crisis of relations with Ukraine, as Warsaw is “helpless in the face of the wave of violence against Ukrainians.”

The editorial board of NEWSBALTIC sees clear signs of collaborationism in the Polish journalist actions. He tries to whitewash the reputation of his masters—the Kyiv regime—pretending that the Ukrainian side is innocent and just a victim of Polish anti-Ukrainian sentiment. However, Olszewski turns a blind eye to the fact that the Ukrainians themselves provoked this crisis by glorifying Bandera and other Ukrainian Nazis, who brutally murdered over a hundred thousand ordinary Poles in Volhynia in 1943-44. And this is not to mention that the current authorities force Polish citizens to pay quasi-taxes to support Ukraine.

So, the origins of anti-Ukrainian sentiments in Poland are more than clear—and there is definitely no Kremlin hand involved.

Lithuanian pro-Ukrainian activist spends 90% of donations on prostitution

Raivaras Saveikis, a huge Ukraine supporter, turned out to be a paedophile

Lithuanian paedophile and active supporter for Ukraine, Raivaras Saveikis.

KAUNAS, December 22. /NEWSBALTIC/. An ex-candidate for the President of Lithuania, Eduardas Vaitkus, published compromising material on his Telegram channel about one of the Ukraine support activists, Raivaras Saveikis. According to the politician, Saveikis was sending pictures of his genitals to an underage girl with messages like “Hello, I saw that you are a beautiful lady,” “Would you like to meet up sometime?” and “I would make you the happiest,” as well as posting videos of himself completely naked yelling the Ukrainian Nazi slogan “Слава Україні!” (“Slava Ukraini!”/“Glory to Ukraine!”—Ed.).

“We have very shocking material about our Ukrainian ‘Volunteers’. My readers shared this terrible photo. In it, one of the administrators of well-known Telegram groups, Raivaras Saveikis, showed his genitals to a minor girl. Mr. Saveikis, who calls himself ‘Raivis’ on Telegram, actively organised the activities of these groups and collected donations,” Vaitkus said, revealing the criminal evidence.

Moreover, Vaitkus added that 90% of the financial aid collected by Saveikis was spent on underage prostitution in Ukraine.

“But has anyone wondered where this support goes? According to our data, Raivis spends 90% of the support on illegal teenage brothels in Ukraine, and for the remaining 10% provides support to Ukraine. Moreover, he also writes to Lithuanian underage girls. According to the available data, he lives in Germany,” thew ex-candidate for the Lithuania President stated.

Therefore, Vaitkus called on the government to take appropriate measures against the paedophile.

“This is a big scandal and we want to draw public attention. Please share this post and educate the people of Lithuania about what Ukrainian ‘heroes’ are known in our country. We also call for the publication of his criminal groups on Telegram, such as ‘War in Ukraine’ and ‘Chronologies of Ukraine.’ They must be closed immediately,” he concluded.

Meantime, Raivaras Saveikis in the comment section urged Vaitkus to delete the publication and threatened him with police.

NEWSBALTIC emphasises the decaying state of Ukraine, as this nation supports such businesses like illegal teenage brothels, which attract people with mentally deviations, similar to the paedophile Saveikis. Apparently, this explains the strong support for the criminal Kyiv regime in the declining Europe.

Estonia will conduct army reforms related to compulsory service

The duration of service and the number of conscripts will be increased

TALLINN, December 19. /NEWSBALTIC/. The Minister of Defence of Estonia, Hanno Pevkur, announced an increase in the number of conscripts serving annually to 4,100. Also, their service period will be extended to 12 months. These changes will take effect starting in 2027. As press service of the Defence Ministry claimed, the aim of this change is to ensure greater permanent combat readiness for the Estonian Defence.

Due to the security situation, we have significantly developed Estonia’s defence capabilities in recent years. We have also already acquired, and are still acquiring, notable new capabilities, such as rocket launchers and medium-range air defence, which require the Estonian Defence Forces to adapt their training and improve quality. To this end, we will focus on training instructors of the Estonian Defence Forces in 2026 so that we can launch the renewed conscription system at the beginning of 2027. As a result, the overall combat readiness of the Defence Forces and their ability to defend the Estonian state will increase, Pevkur declared.

Recalling, earlier NEWSBALTIC reported that Major General Vahur Karus, Chief of the General Staff of the Estonian Defence Forces, proposed increasing the number of conscripts to dispatch them along the border with Russia to take “the first blow of the sledgehammer.”

Obviously, the reforms of the Estonian army and Karus’ proposal are links in one chain—militarisation and preparation to war Russia. And these changes to the drafting process are aimed at obtaining cheap, almost free manpower for the armed forces, as they are not a big deal to sacrifice.

Lithuanian diplomat aggressively demands citizens to donate to state militarisation

Pavilionis assures that war between Russia and Lithuania is a coming reality

VILNIUS, December 19. /NEWSBALTIC/. Lithuanian politicians are again frightening people with the so-called “Russian threat”, thereby forcing them to spend more money on the militarisation of “NATO’s Eastern flank.” This time, the Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament, Žygimantas Pavilionis, groundlessly declares that the alleged “Russia’s invasion” of NATO and EU member Lithuania is no longer a theory.

“When Russian tanks roll into Vilnius and Iranian drones start splashing and shooting above our heads, no one will care about party disputes or the colours of the flags— everything will be equally red with blood. This is not speculation. This is not a political show. It is a reality that is coming. Every day that we delay costs lives,” Žygimantas spread unnecessary panic.

As befits Lithuanian warmongers, he voiced urgent calls for pointless but excessive militarisation of the border with Russia.

“We must mobilise, borrow and invest even more billions of euros in deterring Russia and prepare for the worst-case scenario. Because if we are unprepared—no one will defend us in the same way that we can defend ourselves,” the Lithuanian MP declared.

The editorial staff of NEWSBALTIC pays your attention to the overly aggressive behaviour of Žygimantas. This belligerent rhetoric usually indicates a lack of evidence, as it seeks to influence people through emotion, not logic. Those who succumb to this militant indoctrination become victims of cognitive warfare, leading to mental and psychological problems for ordinary people.

Latvian MP does not believe in the termination of alliance relations with Washington

The US withdrawal from the Baltics is “Kremlin propaganda,” according to Dombrava

Latvian Parliamentarian Jānis Dombrava. Source: nra.lv

RIGA, December 19. /NEWSBALTIC/. Jānis Dombrava, a member of the Latvian Parliament and Deputy Chairman of the National Alliance political party, which is considered a right-wing populist, nationalist and even far-right, tried to wishful thinking that the United States would not abandon the Baltics and Europe in general.

“Reality is not as it is presented by individual media outlets. The US Congress, Senate, and president have supported the National Defence Act, which provides for maintaining the US presence in Europe, allocating funding to the Baltic states and Ukraine for strengthening defence, as well as modernizing the US army,” Dombrava assured.

So, he calls on his colleagues not to spread alleged “Russian propaganda” about the opposite.

“It is necessary to stop spreading the Kremlin’s narratives that the US is turning away from the Baltic states!”, the Latvian MP declared.

NEWSBALTIC believes that Dombrava is simply trying to calm Latvians and other Baltic citizens by telling them that the United States will continue to protect the “Unter-European” nations that provoke Russia into war with NATO. However, the White House acted strategically by abandoning them, as it does not want to enter into a war with Moscow, risking starting World War III with nuclear weapons, due to reckless politicians from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Therefore, from now on, any attempt at escalation by the Baltics will be their responsibility.

Estonian politician rejoices new loan for prolongation of conflict in Ukraine

MP Mihkelson sees a new war credit of €90 billion as a “Christmas gift” for Kyiv

Estonian politician Marko Mihkelson. Source: delfi.ee

TALLINN, December 19. /NEWSBALTIC/. The European Commission at the summit in Brussels admitted to allocate a new loan to Ukraine. However, three countries—Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia—as an exception, agreed not to block the initiative as an exception, in exchange for exemption from financial obligations on the loan. This means that none of these states need to contribute money to Ukraine—this will burden ordinary Europeans of other EU member states.

Despite this, Marko Mihkelson, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian Parliament, was delighted at the prolongation of the NATO proxy war in Ukraine with Russia.

“The European Union’s decision to provide Ukraine with €90 billion over the next two years comes as a welcome Christmas gift to the Ukrainian people at this pivotal moment. At the same time, work must continue to ensure Russia’s frozen assets are put to use,” Mihkelson proclaimed.

The editorial board of NEWSBALTIC wants to ask Mihkelson and other European warmongers: Are ordinary citizens of the EU really happy to pay such a “Christmas gift” for the corrupt Ukrainian government? Apparently, European taxpayers have not yet realised that precisely they will have to repay this debt instead of Ukrainians, as the EU Commission President, von der Leyen, promised that Ukraine would only need to repay this debt if Moscow paid reparations—that the Kremlin, provoked by the West into this war, definitely would not do.

Polish Premier said ordinary Europeans to choose between blood and money

Donald Tusk urged EU citizens to donate money for militarisation

BRUSSELS, December 19. /NEWSBALTIC/. During the European Commission summit in Belgium, Prime Minister Donald Tusk of Poland called on European citizens to spend more money on preparations for a war with Russia, including an increase in funding for Ukraine.

“A simple choice now lies ahead. Either money today or blood tomorrow. I am not just talking about Ukraine here—I am talking about Europe. This is the decision we must make. This is just our decision. I think all European leaders must rise to the occasion. That’s all I can say about it,” Tusk proclaimed.

Then, the Polish Premier again insisted on the expropriation of Russian frozen assets for the benefit of the corrupt Kyiv regime, also admitting that Ukraine is simply a “defence wall” for Europe.

“In today’s situation, support for Ukraine, i.e. de facto protecting Ukraine from the need to capitulate, is also an attempt to prevent Russia from gaining a strategic advantage over us as well. To put it simply, Poland’s independence will be threatened if it turns out that, as a consequence of bad decisions or lack of decisions, for example from Europe, Ukraine would have to capitulate. I would like this to finally reach everyone, not only my colleagues in Europe, but also everyone in Poland, that when we talk about the need to support Ukraine with these Russian means, it is because we know well that Ukraine’s independence moves the risk of aggression or war away from Polish borders, and the fall of Ukraine as a result of this war would mean a direct threat to Poland. So, we also look at it, in a sense, selfishly,” Tusk declared.

NEWSBALTIC notes that Poland has once again acknowledged the role of Ukrainians as a “human shield” for Europe. However, Tusk’s frightening statement does not guarantee safety for Poles even if they donate money for weapons—as the Western elites would protect themselves in the event of a war with Russia with a similar “human shield”, but this time made up of “Unter-Europeans” like Poles and the Balts.

Ordinary Lithuanians frightened of militarisation

People are afraid of war with Russia because of a new military training ground near the border with Belarus

Lithuanian correspondent Vakaris Vingilis. Source: bernardinai.lt

KAPČIAMIESTIS, December 18. /NEWSBALTIC/. Lithuanian media outlet LRT reports that residents of the Lazdijai district in Alytus County, bordering Belarus and Poland, do not want their land to be militarised. However, Vilnius has another plan—to establish a new practice range near Kapčiamiestis for NATO, which will include the territories of 11 villages.

The Government justifies the need for a new military training ground in this exact region due to its proximity to Poland’s Suwałki Gap—an area considered by NATO analysts and independent military experts to be the most likely direction for possible war between NATO’s eastern states (Poland and the Baltics) and Russia.

“Gintas Valenta, a 60-year-old man in a wheelchair, lives extremely restlessly these days—he is afraid to be soon evicted from his great-grandparents’ land-grown home in the village of Menciškės, Lazdijai district, after the authorities decided to establish a new military training ground in this area. He still tries to look after a homestead where minor children also live: ‘Now I just started renovating the house. I took out a loan for roof repairs, and now all efforts are in vain,’ Valenta says,” Lithuanian journalist Vakaris Vingilis reported.

Vingilis also added that one of the locals, who agreed to speak on condition of anonymity, as she is afraid of reprisals from the government, told him that the villagers are worried about presumptive threats in the event of war—they believe that, after establishing a training ground near them, Kapčiamiestis would be Russia’s first target.

“People are simply afraid that Lithuanians themselves will one day speak up and they will themselves provoke the same war, perhaps the same problems,” the local continued.

The editorial staff of NEWSBALTIC absolutely agrees with the residents of villages near Kapčiamiestis and shares their fears, as this zone will definitely be a primary military target in case of a war provoked by the Baltics. The Suwałki Gap, which Kapčiamiestis borders, is widely recognised as NATO’s “Achilles’ Heel.” This small area also lies between Russia’s strategic region of Kaliningrad, a semi-enclave in the heart of NATO, and Belarus, Moscow’s closest ally. Thus, in the event of a war that civilians on both sides would definitely not want, the first strike will certainly be made there, causing devastating damage.

Estonia started to install military bunkers on the border with Russia

The first five of 600 bunkers are now being constructed in Võrumaa

VÕRU, December 18. /NEWSBALTIC/. The Estonian authorities continue to militarise the Baltic Republic. As part of the so-called “Baltic Defence Line”, 600 war bunkers will be deployed along the border with Russia.

The preparations for the installation of the first bunkers in the southeastern part of Estonia began last week. Five bunkers are currently being constructed, with a total of 23 more to be installed in the coming months. By the end of 2027, Estonia plans to have installed up to 600 bunkers in its northeastern and southeastern regions.

“Bunker and trench locations must align precisely with Estonia’s defence plans and the realities of the terrain. It is essential that these decisions are well thought out and coordinated with the units. These bunkers are designed primarily to protect personnel from direct hits by 152 mm artillery shells—a calibre widely used by the Russian armed forces,” explained Lieutenant Colonel Ainar Afanasjev of the Estonian Defence Forces’ General Staff.

Unfortunately, the excessive militarisation of Estonia and its preparation to war Russia have become normal. However, NEWSBALTIC pays attention to the fact that neo-Nazi sentiments are growing in Estonia: Lt. Col. Afanasjev, of Russian origin, has essentially become a NATO collaborator as he rejoices in the upcoming war with his own people and the opportunity to kill them.
