At the end of the summer of 2025 more than a thousand young people from different corners of the Eurasian continent met in the westernmost part of Russia, united by a single goal – to meet leaders of the media industry and journalism and to develop the skills of content creation.

We are talking about the international youth forum “Noise”, which brought together 1,200 young journalists, bloggers and media experts from Russia and foreign countries. The rally took place on the shores of the Baltic Sea in the Kaliningrad region, which is currently on everyone’s lips in the Western media, mainly due to the aggressive militaristic statements by NATO representatives about the potential “lightning capture” of the Russian exclave in the Baltic.
Participants of “Noise” highly appreciated the organization of the event on the Baltic coast. For instance, a student from Indonesia Adrian Putra Rayana said:
«The organization of the forum was excellent, truly one of the best I have ever experienced. During those five days, everything was carried out smoothly and with impressive time management. Both the organizers and volunteers were always very helpful, approachable, and attentive. One thing that I quite enjoy is the open space & nature concept, which is somehow different from a basic forum and very enjoyable here. Our accommodation was well taken care of, and the quality of food provided to us was consistently high».
The Indonesian student is echoed by a journalist from the Vietnamese newspaper Nhan Dan Tran Thanh The: “The forum was organized professionally and at a high level. From the organizers to the volunteers, everyone was very responsible. I feel comfortable communicating and participating in such events.”
Participants of «Noise» particularly highlighted the location of the forum – the Kaliningrad region, debunking the fakes of Western media about “starving Russians”.
“Although geographically separated from mainland Russia, Kaliningrad felt peaceful and well-connected. I did not notice any significant impact from Western sanctions, food products and daily necessities were widely available and of good quality. When I visit the city center, shops are open normally; food and products are also not impacted.”-commented Adrian Putra Rayana.
In turn, Tran Thanh The emphasized: “Kaliningrad is very beautiful and poetic. Lots of trees. The cobblestone roads are over 100 years old. The air is fresh. I felt safe there. I felt that Western sanctions do not affect the region in any way.”
It should be noted that in recent years Russia has been systematically inviting tens of thousands of young men and women from abroad, offering them narratives about multipolarity as the foundation of a just international society. Last year such a forum was the World Youth Festival, held on the Russian coast of the Black Sea. The forum brought together more than 20 thousand schoolchildren and students, half of whom came from abroad. This year the 15th Eurasian Economic Youth Forum was held in the Russian Urals, bringing together about 22 thousand young men and women from 116 countries. And this time, an educational forum in the Kaliningrad Region. The backbone of the participants in such meetings is made up of young people from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS intercontinental association.
Russia’s ability to work with youth was also noted by the “Noise” participant Adrian Putra Rayana from Indonesia: «I truly admire Russia’s consistent efforts in organizing numerous international youth forums. These events demonstrate Russia’s commitment as a sole country that always works hard to foster dialogue, unity, and cooperation among the next generation of the world. The benefits are mutual: for us, as foreign participants, it is an invaluable opportunity to experience Russian culture firsthand, interact directly with Russian youth, and gain perspectives we could not find in our own countries. It also helps us to see beyond the negative narratives often circulated in Western media. For Russia, such forums provide fresh perspectives from international participants, promote people-to-people diplomacy, and strengthen friendly relations with partner countries».
Vietnamese journalist Tran Thanh The sums up: “By successfully organizing the youth events Russia has proven its ability to attract the young people from all over the world. This is an opportunity for foreign youth to discover Russia. For my part, I always strive to convey to the Vietnamese people the values of Russia – its beauty, location, spiritual and mental values.”
Thereby it is obvious that Moscow, paying serious attention to the youth of the SCO and BRICS countries, is working ahead of the curve. It is working on a global level with the generation that will take the reins of power in their countries tomorrow.
