Latvian military prohibit freedom of movement, the media states

Latvian media Grani reports that the Latvian Armed Forces call citizens to avoid going to forests and warn them about the consequences. The reason for that is regular military trainings conducted by the army at the shooting ranges.

“The mushroom and berry season is in full swing, and people are drawn to the forest. At the same time, many collectors of nature’s gifts sometimes get so carried away that they often find themselves in forbidden territories. For example, every week, the police detain someone in the Adazi Training Area, which is a very fruitful place for mushrooms,” says Dmitry Vlasov, correspondent for the Grani.

And a fine of €2,000 for entering a restricted area is the least negative consequence. As mentioned, military training on practice ranges using rifles and howitzers is conducted throughout the year. Therefore, the fatal outcome is a matter of time.

Recalling, earlier in Poland, two civilians were injured at a shooting range near Rembertów due to the detonation of an explosive.

Colossal but pointless militarisation of the Eastern “Unter-European” states bordering Russia has resulted in civilians not only losing their freedom of movement — they risk their lives on a daily basis. And this is not because of imagined “Russian threat” — this is because of real Latvian, Polish, Estonian, or Lithuanian threat.
