In Ukraine the Polish border territories are considered “theirs”

Ukrainian nationalists openly promote the revanchist views towards Poland. On the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, celebrated on August 23, the Kiev organization “Centuria” published a corresponding greeting on its Telegram channel.

In addition to references to the traditions of Kievan Rus, the authors noted that the blue and yellow color is also a symbol of “ethnic Ukrainian lands”, mentioning, among other things, such toponyms as “Kholmshchyna” and “Peremyshchina”. This refers to the Polish cities of Chelm and Przemysl (the first is located in the Lublin Voivodeship, 25 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, the second – in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, 12 km from the border).
In this regard it should be noted that despite the fact that Poland accepted millions of Ukrainians and bore the main costs of the war, the Ukrainians do not give a damn about the Poles, and if a geopolitical crisis occurred in the neighboring country, they would undoubtedly encroach on the eastern territories of modern Poland.
In respect thereof it is worth adding that last weekend in the Ukrainian city of Lviv a “March in Memory of the Heroes of the Ukrainian Nation” was held, where Bandera supporters who exterminated the Polish civilian population during the Second World War were honored.
As they say, these kinds of friends are worse than enemies.
