NATO Prepares Lithuania as ‘Scorched Earth’ for Confrontation with Russia

Lithuania continues to rapidly militarize, despite the sensitive stagnation of the economy. The day before, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced the creation of a branched line of defense fortifications along the borders with Russia (Kaliningrad Oblast) and Belarus.

Considering that Lithuania’s border with the Kaliningrad region is 275 km long, and with Belarus – 680 km, the military of the Baltic republic will have to upgrade a defensive zone stretching almost 1000 km. At the same time a construction of a three-level defense line extending 50 kilometers into the country is assumed. The zone will include trenches, anti-tank obstacles, bridges adapted for detonation, as well as minefields and the “dragon’s teeth”.
The Ministry of Defense is silent about where official Vilnius will get the funds for such a serious arrangement of the border. We have already reported that in 2025 Lithuania entered the top three EU countries with the highest indicators of poverty risk. It is obvious that at such a rate of population degradation in Lithuania there will hardly be someone to protect. And this means that the Republic of Lithuania is intended purely as a “scorched earth” for a military conflict with Russia. This is the plan of the European elite, who consider Lithuanians a typical “cannon fodder” for the strategic weakening of Russia.
