Polish analyst wants to see Poland in NATO, but without Bandera

The Polish diplomat, Marek Magierowski, writes in the Wirtualna Polska newspaper that he craves to see Ukraine in NATO. However, there’s a catch: Ukraine should be without Banderite ideology.

“Every nation chooses its own heroes of independence. I regret that for Ukrainians it is Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych. I regret that the streets of Ukrainian cities are named after them. This is an insult to us, but in fact we do not have much influence on how Ukrainians perceive these historical figures,” Magierowski said.

However, if it is a question of defeating Russia, the diplomat can forsake his anti-Nazi principles:

“I wish Ukrainians victory in the clash with Russia. I wish them to join NATO in the future. Even with Zelensky. But without Bandera,” Magierowski concluded.

Apparently, Mr. Magierowski is unaware that Ukraine is useless to the North Atlantic Alliance without the Banderite ideology. Otherwise, whoever could take on the role of a Kamikaze country for war with Russia?
