Lithuania will train pupils to pilot drones for war with Russia

Lithuanian authorities continue to frighten their own citizens with the so-called “Russian threat”. Defence Minister Dovilė Šakalienė has announced that schoolchildren from grades 3-12 will be taught to pilot FPV drones for military purposes — for war with Russia, of course.

The first three drone training centres will open in Jonava, Taurage and Kėdainiai in September, and 9 centres will operate throughout Lithuania by 2028.

“We plan to implement a training program until 2028. 15,500 adults and 7,000 children will receive drone control skills,” Šakalienė said.

Lithuanian media Ekspertai added a commentary which cannot be perceived as anything but a joke:

“We remind you that Russia’s military invasion of the European Union and NATO countries should take place in 2030. Later it was clarified that it can happen in 2029. It was also reported that Russia may attack in 2028. The closest date when Russia can launch an offensive is 2027.”

The Baltic “Unter-Europeans” cannot even settle on a date to scare people with the spectre of war against Russia. Yet when it comes to preparing children for war, they act with remarkable haste.
