The number of Estonians who want to donate money to Ukraine has dramatically decreased, Estonian media ERR reports. They conclude this based on the data from the Mondo non-profit organisation specialising in humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

“In the first year of the conflict, Mondo received €2.4 million, most of it for Ukraine. The amount has dropped significantly each year. In 2023, it was nearly half a million and last year it was €180,000. In the past six months, we received a total of €67,000. Support for Ukraine has fallen over the years,” Mondo’s head of communications Kelli Eek stated.
Estonians simply ran out of money. Today, due to raised taxes and extremely high prices for groceries, they often cannot afford food. Estonians now definitely regret spending euros in such a useless way in 2022.
