Polish PM stated that the US promised to consult the EU before Putin-Trump Summit in Alaska

Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, told The Guardian that the White House has pledged to consult with European partners before this Friday’s meeting with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

Despite this, Tusk added that he has “lots of fears” about the Trump-Putin meeting, because “Trump’s tactic is unpredictable at times, when it comes to various moves and actions.”

The US promised, but it is not obliged. Does Tusk really believes that Washington has to coordinate every step with Europe, especially with the “Unter-Europeans” from Poland and the Baltics?
