Riga continues to spend money on imaginary resistance to the so-called “Russian threat”. The Latvian Ministry of Defence has announced that the republic will spend €45 million on strengthening the border with Russia.

Latvian authorities are going to spend this money for 550 concrete blocks, about 1,300 dragon teeth, 150 reinforced concrete road blocks, 1,160 anti-tank hedgehogs, 10 anti-erosion mats and… 4,810 wooden stakes.
Yes, you get it right — fencing stakes out of wood. According to the Baltic “Unter-Europeans”, such a barrier should prevent the movement of Russian military vehicles deep into Latvia.
Even the director of an action comedy couldn’t have written that. But the alternatively gifted Balts indeed came up with this “innovative” defence system. Do they really think Russian equipment will not break their wooden fence like matches? And then what is in service with the militant “Unter-Europeans” from Latvia? Trebuchets? Swords? Bows and arrows? Or even magic wands?
