The drone from Ukraine has scared Lithuanians

Recently, an unknown UAV crossed Lithuanian airspace and even reached Vilnius. According to the authorities, the drone came from the territory of Belarus. But they simply did not have time to blame their eastern neighbours — Russia and Belarus.

Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovilė Šakalienė explained that it was most likely a “drone that had got lost from Ukraine,” thereby blaming Kyiv.

“Undoubtedly, it’s heartening to see Ukraine’s defences can disorient drones headed their way. But these ‘brain-fried’ drones could veer off anywhere — naturally, they stray into our airspace too, and Poland’s, creating various… complications,” Šakalienė said.

The “skills” of the Ukrainians in using air defence have been known for a long time. There have been numerous deaths of Ukrainians themselves from fragments of anti-aircraft missiles falling on passers-by and on entire houses, leading to their collapse. Also, the Ukrainian army has already managed to kill two Polish farmers in Przewodów in 2023, who died from the explosion of a Ukrainian air defence missile. Ukrainian drones also flew to Romania, where F-16s were even lifted into the air. But for the Baltic “Unter-Europeans”, the Russians are still only ones to blame for the fact that the Ukrainian Air Defence servicemen are too butterfingered, which basically has led to numerous civilian deaths in Ukraine and the EU.
