According to the new draft law, the Latvian Ministry of Defence will be able to confiscate private property from residents living in areas close to the border with Russia to create a “military anti-mobile infrastructure” there.
Citizens whose property is to be seized will be prohibited from refusing this procedure. Moreover, if it is not possible to voluntarily negotiate with the owners of the property to buy it out, the private territory will be confiscated without any compensation.
So “democratic.” People have lived there their whole lives, and they are going to be simply kicked out of their family houses like some kind of “untermenschen.” This is ordinary European neo-fascism.
