Two jokers for one country

It is not often that interesting people appear on the political arena of the former Soviet republics, with whom the electorate can pin their hopes for the country’s future development. One of the most torn apart by political conflicts, Kyrgyzstan, has two fairly strong candidates in its arsenal.

Бейшеналиев Алмазбек Бейшеналиевич — биография

Both Kyrgyz politicians are young, educated and not afraid to use Western experience. The first of the two “hopes” of Kyrgyz politics is Almazbek Beishenaliev, who currently holds the post of the country’s minister of education and science. Almazbek Beishenaliev received his basic education in Kyrgyzstan, supplemented it with two more educations in Germany, after which he returned to his homeland to study in graduate school and receive an academic degree. As for the professional activities of Almazbek, he fully embodies the modern young technocrat who is familiar not only with the theory and practice of modern entrepreneurial activity. However, Almazbek Beishenaliev achieved the greatest success and recognition as a teacher. He managed to work in doctoral studies at Johns Hopkins University, which has become one of the symbols of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, providing objective information on the number of cases worldwide. In addition to the USA, Almazbek Beishenaliev managed to work as a vice-rector at the Vistula University in Warsaw. After an educational trip to the Western Hemisphere, Almazbek Beishenaliev returned to his native Kyrgyzstan to become the Minister of Education and Science. The young politician very briskly took up the department entrusted to him and began to put things in order in the field of education.

Биография нового министра культуры КР

The second hope of the Kyrgyz policy was another minister – Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov. The same young politician is responsible for culture, information and tourism in the country. Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov, like Almazbek Beishenaliev, has a good education and several specialties, received abroad. Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas in the United States, as well as an MA in International Relations and Public Administration in Japan. But unlike his younger colleague, Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov spent his entire career in Kyrgyzstan, holding various posts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, after which he moved to the post of head of the Yyman Foundation for the Development of Spiritual Culture. Together with work in the fund, Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov has been the director of the Business Council of Kyrgyzstan for 10 years.
Both politicians became ministers in 2020. However, for not a full year, they have already established themselves as high-level specialists.
However, in addition to the modern outlook, high-quality education and the desire to change something for the better, politics, especially in the former republic of the USSR, it is necessary to have a firm character and steadfastness in the face of pressure from partners and senior colleagues. Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov and Almazbek Beishenaliev have already passed their test for “big eggs” when they defended the work of the Turkish lyceums “Sapat” in Bishkek, noting the high quality of education. It should be reminded that the Sapat lyceums have been under pressure from the Turkish administration for a long time, which accuses the educational institution of Bishkek of having links with Fnthullah Gulen. Despite the pressure of the local power, both young politicians defend the interests of the country and its independence at all levels.
It seems that at least two good politicians have appeared in Kyrgyzstan, who may become her immediate future.
